Booking a private yacht charter for the first time can feel a little overwhelming. There are a lot of options, and it is not always clear what you are actually getting. We want to make it simple.
Here is what you can expect when you charter with BlauYachts.
What Does a Private Charter Include?
When you book with us, you get the yacht and the crew. That means you are not sharing with strangers — the boat is entirely yours for the duration. We handle the navigation, the safety, and the local knowledge. You bring the swimwear and the appetite for adventure.
Depending on the type of charter, we can also arrange drinks, snacks, or a full catering spread on board. Just let us know in advance.
How Many People Can Come?
It depends on the yacht. Our boats are suited to groups of 2 to 10 guests. If you are planning a larger event — a birthday, a corporate day, a celebration — get in touch and we will find the right solution.
Do I Need Sailing Experience?
Not at all. Our crew handles everything. You are a guest, not a sailor — unless you want to be one. If you are curious about how the boat works, we are happy to show you the ropes. Literally.
What Happens if the Weather is Bad?
Safety always comes first. If conditions are not suitable for a safe and enjoyable experience, we will work with you to reschedule. We always check the forecast in advance and keep you informed. In our experience, the Mediterranean is kind — but we never take it for granted.
What Should I Bring?
Keep it light. A good pair of non-marking shoes (or just bare feet), sun protection, a towel, and a change of clothes. We provide snorkelling equipment on board. Leave the hard-soled shoes and the big suitcases on shore.
How Far in Advance Should I Book?
In peak season (July and August), we recommend booking at least two to three weeks ahead. In spring and autumn, you often have more flexibility. That said, the best dates go quickly — so if you have something specific in mind, do not wait too long.
